Placements24 seeks a Principal BIM Architect to lead the strategic implementation of BIM across all project lifecycles. This remote-first role requires defining standards, workflows, and best practices while guiding distributed teams and shaping digital construction on international projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive BIM experience, strong leadership, and a vision for data-driven design in a globally connected firm.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in architectural practice; 8+ years BIM implementation/management.
• Deep knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650) and workflows.
• Expert in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and related platforms.
• Experience leading BIM strategies for large/complex projects.
• Proven leadership, communication, training, and stakeholder influence.
• Experience managing distributed/remote teams.
• Knowledge of computational design and data management.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA, PG BIM) or BIM certs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global BIM strategy, standards, and workflows.
• Lead adoption of BIM technologies across projects for consistency and quality.
• Provide expert technical guidance on BIM matters to project teams.
• Oversee BIM content libraries, templates, and databases.
• Collaborate with IT to optimize BIM tools and platforms.
• Conduct training and workshops to enhance BIM proficiency.
• Stay updated on BIM, digital twins, and construction tech advancements.
• Champion BIM integration with VR/AR and data analytics.
• Support pre-construction planning and business development with BIM expertise.
• Manage and mentor a team of BIM specialists and coordinators.
