Placements24 seeks a PR and communications manager for a fully remote role supporting the Gauteng region, including Tembisa. Develop and execute PR strategies, manage media relationships, and ensure consistent brand messaging across platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong writing and strategic thinking, crisis communication experience, and the ability to lead a virtual team while delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
• Proven track record in developing and executing impactful PR campaigns.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of South Africa media landscape and current affairs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies.
• Manage media relations and build relationships with journalists and influencers.
• Craft press releases, media statements, and other materials.
• Monitor media coverage and respond proactively to issues.
• Oversee social media content and engagement strategies.
• Advise senior leadership on communication matters and reputational risks.
• Collaborate with marketing and other departments for cohesive messaging.
• Manage crisis communication plans and responses.
• Analyze campaign effectiveness and report on KPIs.
