Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Automotive Powertrain Engineer to join a global propulsion innovator. You will design, analyze, and optimize ICE, EV, or hybrid powertrains, leveraging GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, and Amesim to simulate performance and calibrate control strategies.

Working fully remotely from SA, you will collaborate with a world-class team, document results, and stay abreast of emissions standards and industry trends to advance efficiency and performance across next-generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years in automotive powertrain development.
• Strong knowledge of ICE, EV, or hybrid powertrains.
• Experience with powertrain simulation tools (GT-SUITE, Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Familiarity with emissions and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop powertrain components or systems for efficiency and emissions reduction.
• Analyze powertrain performance using simulation tools and collect validation data.
• Develop and calibrate control strategies for ICE, EV, or hybrid systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing.
• Test, validate, and document powertrain components and results.
• Troubleshoot powertrain issues and propose improvements.
