Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly accomplished Petroleum Geologist to join our remote exploration team. You will analyze seismic data, well logs, and core samples to evaluate hydrocarbon prospects and construct robust geological models for reservoir assessment.

The role requires independence in a remote-first environment, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to drive successful exploration campaigns worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology or Petroleum Geology required.
• Minimum 8 years of petroleum exploration geology experience.
• Expertise in seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and geological modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret geological and geophysical data to delineate hydrocarbon traps and reservoirs.
• Perform basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy, and sedimentological interpretations.
• Integrate well log, core, and seismic data to build subsurface models.
• Assess prospectivity, estimate volumes, and quantify geological risk.
• Collaborate remotely with geoscientists and engineers and prepare reports and maps.
