Job summary

Cognisys is seeking a highly capable Penetration Tester to identify and remediate security weaknesses in our clients' networks and applications. This remote-first role emphasizes ethical hacking, detailed reporting, and collaboration with security and development teams to strengthen defenses.

You will perform tests across web, API, network, and cloud environments, using industry tools and best practices. Continuous learning and certifications are encouraged to stay ahead in the evolving threat

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or ethical hacking role.
Strong understanding of vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
Experience with security tooling and testing of web apps, APIs, networks, and cloud.
Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN, CISSP) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct authorized penetration testing on networks, applications, web services, and cloud environments.
Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities using a variety of tools.
Perform vulnerability assessments and provide detailed analysis.
Develop comprehensive penetration test reports with remediation guidance.
Collaborate with security and development teams to validate findings and mitigate risks.
Stay up-to-date with testing techniques and threat landscapes.
Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct throughout testing.
