Cognisys is seeking a Penetration Tester to deliver comprehensive security assessments for clients remotely from South Africa. You will test networks, web apps, APIs, mobile apps and cloud environments using automated and manual methods, report findings, and advise on remediation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on penetration testing across networks, web apps, APIs, mobile apps or cloud.
• Strong understanding of offensive security methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools with manual testing.
• Ability to assess impact and risk of vulnerabilities.
• Experience producing high-quality pen testing reports with remediation recommendations.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Conduct penetration testing across network, web app, API, mobile app and cloud environments.
• Simulate real-world attack scenarios to assess client resilience.
• Use automated tools and manual techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
• Assess security controls and identify weaknesses and attack paths.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and their business impact.
• Produce reports with remediation recommendations.
• Present findings to clients and help prioritise remediation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver client engagements.
• Keep up to date with threats and offensive security techniques.
