Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join a fully remote cybersecurity team. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities across networks, applications, and systems, and provide actionable remediation guidance from home.

The role requires deep knowledge of attack vectors and exploitation techniques, with reporting and communication skills to clearly articulate findings. OSCP/CEH/GPEN certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in an ethical hacking role.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and exploitation methods.
• Proficiency with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap and Kali Linux.
• Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and web technologies.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Certifications like OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructure, and mobile platforms.
• Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities using tools and techniques.
• Perform social engineering tests to assess human vulnerabilities.
• Provide detailed reports outlining findings, risk levels, and remediation recommendations.
• Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques, tools, and security trends.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to verify remediation effectiveness.
