Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to proactively identify vulnerabilities in networks, apps, and cloud environments. This role combines hands-on testing with detailed reporting to strengthen security defenses.

Flexible remote work is available, with potential on-site needs near Upington, Northern Cape. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, proficiency in Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing/ethical hacking
• Certifications such as OSCP/CEH/GPEN/CISSP are highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests on networks, web, mobile, and cloud environments
• Use manual and automated tools to identify vulnerabilities
• Develop detailed reports with impacts and remediation
• Collaborate with teams to fix security flaws
• Stay updated on testing techniques and threat landscape
• Contribute to testing methodologies and standards
• Perform security research to identify new attack vectors
