Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Penetration Tester to join its cybersecurity team. This fully remote contractor role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in web applications, networks, and APIs, and delivering actionable remediation guidance.

You will use tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux, document findings clearly, and collaborate with development and operations to remediate risks. OSCP/CEH/GPEN/LPT certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in penetration testing or offensive security roles.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and exploit techniques.
• Ability to document findings clearly and provide remediation guidance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, remote-friendly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests on web apps, networks, and APIs.
• Identify vulnerabilities and exploitable weaknesses using tools and manual methods.
• Perform reconnaissance to map attack surfaces.
• Develop and demonstrate PoC exploits to illustrate impact.
• Document methodologies, findings and recommendations clearly.
• Collaborate with Dev and Ops to ensure timely remediation.
• Stay updated on new attack techniques and tools.
• Adhere to ethical hacking policies and company standards.
• Contribute to improving the testing program and security posture.
• Advise on security best practices to mitigate risks.
