Job summary

Placements24 seeks experienced remote online tutors to deliver mathematics instruction to grades 7–12. This remote-first role focuses on engaging students in Rustenburg and beyond, using a virtual classroom platform to explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to individual needs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mathematics or Education, a Master's preferred, and at least 3 years of online or remote teaching.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a mathematics tutor or teacher, ideally with online or remote instruction experience.

• Develop and customize lesson plans based on individual student needs, learning styles, and curriculum requirements.
• Effectively explain complex mathematical concepts, theories, and formulas using various online tools and visual aids.
• Assess student understanding through interactive questioning, problem-solving exercises, and informal assessments during sessions.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress, identifying areas of strength and areas requiring improvement.
• Collaborate with the academic support team to monitor student progress and adjust tutoring strategies as needed.
