Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, CS, Stats, Math, or related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of professional Data Scientist experience with ML/AI in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy ML models for Oil & Gas challenges (predictive maintenance, reservoir forecasting, operations).
• Clean, transform, and analyze large, complex data from energy sector sources.
• Design data mining algorithms and statistical analyses to uncover trends and patterns.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant focus on applying ML/AI in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
