Placements24 partners with a forward-thinking healthcare provider to recruit a Remote Occupational Therapist. This role is fully remote, enabling you to deliver occupational therapy interventions from your home office via telehealth, serving a diverse South African client base.

You will assess daily living activities, develop SMART treatment plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining compliant documentation and pursuing ongoing professional development in telehealth

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics, or a relevant specialty area.
• Demonstrated experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth occupational therapy evaluations and assess clients' needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with SMART goals.
• Deliver remote therapeutic interventions, including exercises and adaptive strategies.

This role is entirely remote, allowing you to provide essential occupational therapy interventions from your home office. You will work with a diverse client base, assisting individuals in regaining or improving their ability to perform daily activities following illness, injury, or disability. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective therapeutic interventions remotely, including adaptive strategies, exercises, and assistive device recommendations.
• Educate clients and their caregivers on home exercise programs, environmental modifications, and strategies to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely client documentation, adhering to all professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor client progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and document outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practice, telehealth technologies, and rehabilitation research.
