Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Network Administrator to manage global network infrastructure from a remote location. You will monitor performance, upgrades, and issue resolution for a distributed workforce, ensuring security and reliability across LANs, WANs, and VPNs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of network administration experience, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet hardware, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP. CCNA/CCNP or similar is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of network administration experience with emphasis on remote management.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), DNS, DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet hardware.
• Experience configuring firewalls, VPNs, and security tools.
• Strong monitoring, troubleshooting, and remote support skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a distributed team.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Network+ are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize capacity.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Ensure security with firewalls, IDS, and access policies.
• Troubleshoot complex remote network issues and provide guidance to IT staff.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
