Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated and analytical Remote Mine Geologist to support extensive mining operations from a home-based environment. You will contribute to resource estimation, geological modeling, and QA/QC, collaborating with on-site teams and the broader geological department.

In this fully remote role, you will interpret geological data, apply advanced modeling techniques, and guide exploration efforts across multiple assets, influencing geological strategy and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mine geology, exploration, or resource estimation.
• Proficiency with Leapfrog, Vulcan, Micromine.
• Strong data analysis and geological interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine 3D geological models based on drilling data, geological mapping, and geophysical information.
• Perform resource and reserve estimations using industry-standard software and methodologies.
• Conduct geological data validation and QA/QC procedures.
• Collaborate with mine planning and engineering teams to provide geological input for mine design and scheduling.
• Assist in the planning and supervision of exploration drilling programs.

About the Role
