Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fully remote product development team, ideally based in or near East London but open to remote candidates across South Africa. You will design, simulate, and implement new products from concept through manufacturing readiness, working with a distributed team to bring ideas to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical product development and design.

• Strong remote work and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

You will work collaboratively with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers, utilizing state-of-the-art digital tools to bring innovative ideas to life. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of new products, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials using advanced CAD software.

• Collaborate effectively with remote team members across engineering, R&D, and marketing departments.
