Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Loss Prevention Consultant to assess client operations, identify risks, and implement customized prevention strategies. The role combines remote advisory work with on-site travel across the Eastern Cape to deliver reports, recommendations, and training to help policyholders reduce losses.

The ideal candidate will have proven loss prevention or risk engineering experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and be comfortable working remotely while

Qualifications

• Experience in loss prevention, safety management, or risk engineering.
• Knowledge of industry hazards and regulatory standards (OSHA equivalents).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload.
• Relevant certifications in safety or risk management valued.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in the Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and remote assessments of client facilities to identify potential loss exposures.
• Analyze operational processes, safety procedures, and environmental factors.
• Develop practical and cost-effective recommendations for risk mitigation and hazard control.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops on safety procedures and loss prevention techniques.
• Collaborate with underwriters and claims teams to share insights and improve risk profiles.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to safety and loss prevention.
