Job summary

EdUpStairs is seeking experienced remote truck drivers for long-haul operations in a remote-first environment. You will coordinate logistics, plan routes, and ensure timely delivery across various routes while leveraging GPS technology and ELDs.

You will also perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and communicate with dispatch and clients to provide real-time updates, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute long-haul truck routes efficiently and safely, optimizing for delivery timelines.
• Utilize advanced GPS and tracking systems to monitor vehicle location, performance, and cargo status.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other stakeholders to provide real-time updates and resolve logistical issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in safe and optimal working condition.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating commercial vehicles.

Requirements

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) and appropriate commercial driver's license (e.g., Code 14).
• Proven experience as a long-haul truck driver , with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
