Placements24 is seeking a Remote Logistics Planning Specialist to optimize transportation routes, schedules and resource allocation from a home-based office. You will analyze data, collaborate with dispatchers and carriers, and drive cost efficiency across the network in the Paarl region and beyond.

The role requires 3–5 years of logistics planning experience, proficiency with routing software and TMS, and strong remote teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine transportation routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure smooth execution of plans.
• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers where applicable.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.
• Utilize advanced logistics software to forecast demand and plan resource allocation.
