Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Logistics Data Analyst to join our expanding virtual team. The role focuses on turning logistics data into actionable insights that boost efficiency and reduce costs. This remote-first position offers autonomy and global collaboration.

You will build dashboards using Tableau or Power BI, develop predictive models, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize routes, inventory, and capacity across the global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of data analysis experience, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis is highly desirable.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within the logistics network.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize routes, reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborate with logistics managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights.
• Develop predictive models to forecast demand, identify potential risks, and optimize resource allocation.
• Assist in the implementation and refinement of data collection methodologies and systems.
• Prepare clear and concise presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for various audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics data analytics.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis requests to address immediate business needs.
