Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is hiring an LLM Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems built on top of LLMs, not model training, and requires hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.

You will integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, develop agent-based workflows, and build internal tools to reduce manual hours across our design and development processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship the automation roadmap for internal systems.
• Build production automation workflows on top of AI models.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs and manage tool usage and function calling.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to turn roadmaps into working systems.
