Placements24 is seeking a Lead RF Planning Engineer to spearhead RF planning and optimization for 4G and 5G networks. This fully remote role allows you to contribute from anywhere within Port Elizabeth or beyond, coordinating with a geographically dispersed team to design robust coverage and capacity.

You will leverage Atoll and Planet for design, perform propagation analysis, mentor junior engineers, and deliver detailed reports on network performance while staying current with evolving RF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 7+ years of RF planning and optimization experience.
• Experience with Atoll and Planet or similar tools.
• Knowledge of LTE and 5G NR.
• Remote team leadership and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF planning strategies for 4G and 5G networks.
• Use Atoll/Planet for design, simulation and optimization.
• Analyze performance to identify coverage and capacity gaps.
• Conduct propagation modeling and interference analysis.
• Collaborate with deployment and operations teams.
• Mentor junior RF engineers.
• Develop RF design guidelines and best practices.
• Prepare reports and presentations on RF planning.
