Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Propulsion Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will drive conceptualization, design, analysis, and testing of propulsion systems for next‑generation aircraft and spacecraft. This is a leadership position requiring strong technical and collaborative skills.

You will lead cross‑disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, develop system requirements and documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading propulsion projects and teams.
• Strong background in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and combustion.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for cross‑functional work.
• Experience with system requirements and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of propulsion systems for aircraft and spacecraft.
• Conduct in‑depth performance analysis, simulations, and testing of components.
• Develop system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Oversee integration of propulsion with airframes and subsystems.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources for project success.
• Mentor junior propulsion engineers and drive technical excellence.
