Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our client’s team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, develop and implement advanced control systems for automation and industrial processes, guiding projects from concept to commissioning while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
The role requires 7+ years in control systems, expertise with PLC/DCS/SCADA, and strong leadership in distributed teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 7+ years of professional experience in control systems engineering.
- Expertise with major PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB) and DCS.
- Experience with SCADA, industrial networking, and control system cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills in remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, programming and commissioning of PLCs, DCS, and HMIs.
- Develop control strategies and algorithms to optimize performance.
- Integrate control with SCADA and ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot complex control system issues to maximize uptime.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
