Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Computational Biologist to spearhead systems biology initiatives in a fully remote role. You will develop computational models, integrate multi-omics data, and lead projects while mentoring a team of computational biologists.

You will collaborate with experimentalists and clinicians, build predictive models for drug efficacy and patient stratification, and stay at the cutting edge of computational biology techniques across cloud and HPC environments.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, CS or related field.
• 7+ years in computational biology or systems biology with multi-omics integration.
• Strong expertise in network/pathway analysis and mathematical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python or R and relevant statistical packages.
• Experience with HPC environments and cloud platforms.
• Leadership and mentoring experience; strong remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop computational frameworks for systems biology analyses.
• Integrate multi-omics data to build network models.
• Identify key pathways, biomarkers, and disease mechanisms.
• Collaborate with experimentalists and clinicians to validate findings.
