Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Buyer for a dynamic tech-focused firm. This remote role supports the procurement team in sourcing electronic components, processing requisitions, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery for product development.

Ideal candidates have a related bachelor's degree, 0–2 years' purchasing experience, strong Excel and ERP familiarity, and the drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 0–2 years in purchasing, procurement, or related admin role.
• Interest in technology and electronic components.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong communication in a remote team environment.
• Proactive and eager to learn procurement skills.
• Understanding of basic procurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for electronic components and technical materials.
• Support senior buyers in pricing, terms, and delivery negotiations with vendors.
• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain supplier records, pricing, and purchase history.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA, and logistics on component issues.
• Conduct basic market research on component availability and pricing trends.
• Help manage inventory levels for key components to prevent shortages.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement.
