Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote International Freight Coordinator to manage cross-border shipments, handle documentation, and liaise with carriers. This role requires independent work, strong organization, and a solid grasp of global logistics.

You will coordinate air and sea freight, ensure compliance with trade regulations, and provide timely client updates. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding and proficiency with freight management software.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in international freight forwarding or related field.
• Strong understanding of air and sea freight processes, customs procedures, and regulations.
• Proficiency with freight management software and tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international air and sea freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, customs declarations, invoices).
• Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and customs brokers for smooth transit.
• Track shipments in real time and provide updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Resolve issues such as customs delays or transit problems.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws and security requirements.
• Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers and service providers.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and related transactions.
• Provide exceptional customer service for international shipments.
