Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join its remote operations team, supporting energy facilities nationwide. This role focuses on monitoring, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems from a remote setting, ensuring safety and reliability of critical assets.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, with proficiency in SCADA, PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell), and DCS.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Instrumentation Technician in energy/process industries.
- Proficiency with SCADA, PLC programming, and DCS.
Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor and diagnose instrumentation and control systems.
- Perform virtual calibration and configuration of sensors, transmitters, and actuators.
- Analyze system performance data and recommend optimizations.
- Provide remote support and troubleshooting to on-site teams.
- Maintain records of remote maintenance activities and system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering on upgrades and modifications.
