Placements24 is seeking a Remote Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems and IIoT platforms for diverse industrial clients. You will work on PLC/HMI/SCADA development, IIoT data acquisition, and cloud-enabled solutions, all from a fully remote setup.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in electrical/computer/mechatronics engineering and at least 4 years of hands-on automation experience, with strong PLC/SCADA expertise and cybersecurity awareness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in industrial automation engineering.
Proficient in programming PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric).
Strong experience with SCADA software (Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC) and HMI development.
Knowledge of IIoT concepts, protocols (MQTT, OPC UA), and cloud platforms.
Experience with network configuration and cybersecurity in industrial environments.
Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial apps.
Develop IIoT solutions for data acquisition and real-time monitoring.
Configure and deploy industrial network infrastructure.
Perform remote diagnostics and support deployed solutions.
Collaborate with clients to define automation needs.
Prepare design specifications, user manuals, and testing procedures.
Stay current with advancements in automation tech and best practices.
Participate in project planning, scope definition, and risk assessment.
Conduct remote testing and validation of automation systems before deployment.
Provide training and support to clients on operation and maintenance.
