Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Hygiene Compliance Officer to oversee hygiene and sanitation compliance remotely across company sites. You will develop strategies, conduct virtual audits and analyze data to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hygiene management, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills to train and guide site personnel while working independently from a remote location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Food Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in hygiene management, sanitation, QA or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene regulations and standards (health laws, industry guidelines).
• Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting audits.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor hygiene and sanitation compliance programs across all sites.
• Conduct regular virtual audits and assessments for policy and regulatory adherence.
• Analyze compliance data, incident reports and audit findings to identify risks and improvements.
• Provide expert advice and training on hygiene best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain records and documentation of hygiene compliance activities.
• Stay informed about current hygiene regulations and emerging risks.
• Prepare reports on compliance status, audits and recommendations for senior management.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure integrated hygiene and safety management.
• Promote a culture of hygiene and safety awareness across the organization.
