Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Virtual High School Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality online maths instruction for grades 10-12. This fully remote role is based in Vereeniging, Gauteng, SA, with flexible hours and a strong emphasis on engaging digital pedagogy.

You will design digital content, use LMS platforms, and collaborate with curriculum developers to ensure alignment with the South African Curriculum. A PGCE and at least 3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, or related field.
• PGCE or teaching registration.
• Minimum 3 years of high school maths teaching.
• Experience with online teaching and LMS (Zoom, Moodle, Google Classroom).
• Strong knowledge of the SA National Curriculum for Mathematics (grades 10-12).

Responsibilities

• Deliver online mathematics lessons to grades 10-12 via virtual classrooms.
• Develop digital learning materials: presentations, videos, interactive exercises, assessments.
• Provide timely feedback on student assignments and projects.
• Monitor progress, identify gaps, and implement targeted interventions.
• Conduct virtual office hours for student support.
• Collaborate with curriculum team to update courses.
• Maintain student records in the LMS.
• Foster a positive online learning community.
