About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and globally recognized leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking an exceptional Head of International Operations . This pivotal role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to manage global operations from any location. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing sophisticated operational strategies across diverse international markets. This includes optimizing supply chains, managing cross-border logistics, and ensuring operational excellence in all regions. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in global operational leadership, strategic planning, and managing large, dispersed teams in a virtual setting. This position is crucial for driving the company's international growth and maintaining its competitive edge on a global scale. The role will involve strategic engagement with teams and partners relevant to areas like Upington, Northern Cape , by ensuring operational strategies support regional development, despite the remote nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive international operations strategy that supports global business objectives and market expansion.
• Oversee the end-to-end operational activities across all international subsidiaries and markets, including supply chain, manufacturing support, and service delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, geographically dispersed operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for international operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in operations management, with a significant portion (at least 5-7 years) in a senior global leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex international operations, supply chains, and logistics.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic operational frameworks for global markets.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and change management skills, with extensive experience leading remote teams.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in managing large, multi-currency budgets.
• Expertise in leveraging operational analytics and technology to drive global efficiency.
• Experience working within or supporting operations in developing markets is highly advantageous.
• Must be highly adept at working autonomously and leading effectively in a fully remote environment.
