Placements24 is seeking a Remote Grid Operations Specialist to monitor and optimize South Africa's electrical grid from a home office. You will analyze real-time data, run SCADA tools, and implement operational strategies to maintain reliability and secure supply.

You will collaborate with grid operators, engineers, and stakeholders nationwide, respond to grid events, prepare reports, and contribute to grid resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in power system operations, grid control, or related areas.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems, power system monitoring software, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grid real-time performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools.
• Analyze grid data to identify instabilities, load imbalances, and risks.
• Implement procedures to manage load, generation, and grid constraints.
