Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years proven grant writing experience, preferably in environmental/non-profit sectors.
• Demonstrated success securing diverse funding sources.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading with attention to detail.
• Strong research and analytical skills for identifying funding opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and grant management software.
• Excellent organization and time management to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Understanding of environmental conservation issues and sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Research funding sources including government grants, private foundations, and corporate programs relevant to environmental conservation.
• Develop persuasive grant proposals with project narratives, budgets, and supporting docs.
• Collaborate with staff and leadership to reflect goals and needs in proposals.
• Manage grant submission process and deadlines; ensure guidelines are met.
• Maintain a database of grants, opportunities, and outcomes.
• Cultivate relationships with funders and program officers.
• Write grant reports and updates as required by funders.
• Stay updated on grant writing trends and best practices.
• Review and edit grant materials for clarity and accuracy.
• Contribute to overall fundraising strategy.
