Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote setting.
• Must be able to attend in-person meetings in East London, Eastern Cape, ZA as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Help ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Process payroll and related entries.
• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from internal departments.
