Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Global Sourcing Manager to drive sourcing strategies for renewable energy projects worldwide. You will work with Engineering, Operations and Finance to secure high-quality materials from diverse suppliers while managing international risk and cost.

The role demands extensive global engagement, strong negotiation skills, and leadership of remote teams across borders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in global sourcing or supply chain management, preferably in renewables or tech.
• Proven experience managing international sourcing projects and achieving cost improvements.
• Expertise in negotiations, supplier management and global logistics.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for components, materials, and services.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers, ensuring quality, ethics and sustainability.
• Negotiate with international suppliers for favorable pricing and terms.
• Manage relationships with strategic partners to drive collaboration and innovation.
• Perform market analysis, risk assessment, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
• Implement supplier performance management and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align sourcing with objectives.
• Mitigate supply chain risks with contingency planning and regulatory awareness.
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to senior leadership.
