Placements24 is recruiting a highly experienced Remote Early Childhood Development (ECD) Consultant to guide program design, implementation, and evaluation from a remote workspace. You will collaborate with country teams, governments and partners to strengthen ECD services using evidence-based practices.

The role requires advanced degrees and 8+ years in designing, managing and evaluating ECD programs in developing countries, with strong policy, training and capacity-building expertise.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ECD, Education, Public Health, or related field.
• 8+ years designing, managing, and evaluating ECD programs in developing countries.
• Demonstrated expertise in ECD policy, curriculum development, teacher training, and safeguarding.
• Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and building capacity of diverse groups.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, Portuguese) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on ECD program development and implementation.
• Conduct needs assessments and situational analyses to identify challenges and opportunities.
• Develop and adapt ECD curricula and training materials for stakeholders.
• Facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for practitioners and policymakers.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of ECD programs, ensuring data quality and impact measurement.
• Advise on policy development and advocacy strategies at national and sub-national levels.
• Contribute to proposal development and resource mobilization for ECD initiatives.
• Stay abreast of current research, trends and best practices in global ECD.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners in a remote setting.
