Network Recruitment is seeking a post-articles Accountant for a fully remote role based in Gauteng, with exposure to an international group. You will handle multi-entity month-end processes, intercompany accounting, and multi-currency reconciliations, collaborating closely with senior finance leads.

The role emphasizes identifying discrepancies, improving controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting across brands and currencies.

Qualifications

• This role requires a BCom in Accounting or Finance and completion of SAICA/SAIPA articles.
• Experience in a transaction-intensive industry and strong month-end accounting skills are essential.
• Candidate must be Gauteng-based and comfortable working fully remotely.
• Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
• Proficient in MS Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF), handling large data sets.
• Exposure to multi-company/group accounting and multi-currency environments is advantageous.
• Experience with management accounts, cash flow, VAT and audits is beneficial.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and general ledgers across entities.
• Prepare and process journals.
• Perform bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate variances and reconciling items.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across entities.
• Support month-end close and management accounts.
• Process accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll and VAT.
• Assist with reporting for audits and year-end.
• Support cash-flow reporting and forecasting.
• Identify control weaknesses and drive process improvements.
