Job summary

OpsFi is seeking a qualified Full Stack Developer to join their offshore engineering team, supporting clients in the tech and insurance sectors. You will work remotely from South Africa with some collaboration with US-based teams, contributing to both frontend and backend development.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience, strong JS/TS skills, and proficiency with modern APIs, databases, and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on full stack development experience in modern web apps.
• Strong frontend skills with JS/TS and frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Backend experience building scalable RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy responsive UI and robust backend services.
• Build and maintain APIs to integrate with third-party services and AI models.
• Design data models and optimize database queries for performance.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and QA in an Agile/Scrum team.
• Monitor performance and apply security best practices to protect data.
