Job summary

OpsFi is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our offshore engineering team, working remotely from South Africa with SA and US-based collaborators. The role offers a path to progress in a growing boutique firm serving high-growth tech clients, with hybrid Cape Town office days and fully remote options within South Africa.

You will own end-to-end development across frontend and backend, build scalable APIs, and ensure secure, high-performance software in a dynamic, agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on full stack web development experience.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and responsive UI.
• Experience building scalable RESTful/GraphQL APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containers, and CI/CD.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of scalable web applications across the stack.
• Design and implement robust RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate core platform with third-party services and AI models.
• Design efficient data models and optimize database queries.
• Write tests, perform code reviews, and uphold quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and QA in Agile/Scrum.
• Monitor performance and apply security best practices.
