Job summary

OPTI Engineering is hiring a Full Stack Engineer (Python / React) for a permanent remote role in South Africa. You will work closely with the founder to build and deploy features across three platforms, owning them end-to-end from concept to production.

You will work with Python/FastAPI on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend, delivering offline-capable PWAs and improving CI/CD pipelines while running production Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend experience with FastAPI.
• Solid React and TypeScript能力, full-stack capability.
• Real Linux production server experience.
• Good testing habits, CI setup, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build new capability across three production platforms based on live client needs.
• Own features end to end from understanding to production deployment.
• Write code, deploy it, and keep it running with minimal downtime.
• Develop offline-capable progressive web apps for sites with limited connectivity.
• Improve automated testing and deployment pipelines.
