Placements24 is seeking a talented Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer for a fully remote role. You will design, build, and maintain scalable web applications powering fintech solutions. You’ll work with modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services in a distributed, remote-first team.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with product and design, while delivering clean code and reliable deployments from your home office anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Proficiency with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Git proficiency and version control practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and independent remote work skills.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding FinTech startup with a strong presence in Cape Town, Western Cape, is looking for a talented and motivated Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer to join their entirely remote engineering team. This is a remote-first position, meaning all collaboration, development, and team interactions occur virtually. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust, scalable web applications that power our client's innovative financial solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new user-facing features using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Build and maintain scalable back-end services using languages and frameworks such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), Java (Spring), or Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and manage database schemas and queries (SQL and NoSQL).
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define product requirements and technical specifications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
