Job summary
Placements24 seeks an innovative Formulation Scientist to lead the development of novel pharmaceutical dosage forms from a home office, supporting operations in Welkom. You will design, develop, and optimize drug delivery systems to enhance efficacy, stability and patient adherence, collaborating with a cross-functional team and using advanced formulation technologies.

Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Deep understanding of drug delivery systems, pharmacokinetics, and physical pharmacy principles.
- Experience with formulation technologies and analytical techniques (dissolution testing, particle size analysis).
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments for development of dosage forms (oral solids, liquids, semi-solids).
- Investigate and select excipients and materials for formulation development.
- Conduct stability studies and pre-formulation assessments.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for characterizing formulated products.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs and manufacturing for technology transfer and commercialization.
