Job summary

Familiarity with Kimberley, Northern Cape logistics is a plus; you will monitor real-time locations, assign tasks, and troubleshoot issues while maintaining dispatch logs and coordinating with warehouses and customer service to support

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fleet dispatching, logistics coordination, or a related field.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch vehicles to designated locations, ensuring efficient route planning.
• Monitor driver activities and vehicle locations in real-time using dispatch software.
• Assign tasks to drivers based on proximity, availability, and delivery requirements.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions, updates, and support.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from drivers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during transport operations, such as delays or vehicle problems.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, including driver assignments, route details, and delivery statuses.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as warehouse and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
• Analyze dispatch data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and transport regulations.
