Job summary

TydeCo is seeking a Financial Software Implementation Consultant to help clients adopt and optimise Sage financial software. You will translate accounting needs into practical system setups and lead client training to ensure successful software adoption.

The role starts with structured training, then independent project ownership across Sage Intacct and Sage 300 Cloud, with travel to client sites and remote work options within South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, finance, outsourced accounting, advisory, audit, or financial operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, internal controls, and business processes.
• Interest in moving into a financial technology, ERP, or software implementation consulting career.
• Comfortable learning new systems and using technology to solve finance and reporting challenges.
• Strong communication, documentation, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and training on financial software platforms and implementation methodologies.
• Configure Sage Intacct, Sage 300 Cloud, and related solutions to client needs (entities, COA, dimensions, reporting).
• Lead client training sessions and prepare client-facing documentation and handover materials.
• Support end-to-end implementations from discovery through go-live and post-implementation support.
• Guide clients on improvements to accounting workflows, reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Work with sales, finance, support, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with scope and client expectations.
• Track tasks, deadlines, risks, blockers, and progress in project tools; escalate when needed.
