Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Graduate Finance Assistant to join its fully remote finance team supporting Upington operations. You'll assist with daily financial tasks, data management, and accounting processes.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in finance or related field, have strong numerical skills, and communicate effectively in a remote, self-managed environment. Training will be provided and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities for remote work.
• Good communication skills and proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial data to ensure accuracy.
• Help manage financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
