Job summary

Placements24 is seeking diligent Graduate Junior Accountants to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. Recent accounting graduates will gain practical experience handling bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting in a supportive virtual environment.

You will work on daily transactions, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and assist with monthly statements, with mentoring to pursue SAIPA/SAICA qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for effective remote work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for virtual team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions accurately.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
