Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy auditing, energy management, or energy efficiency consulting.
• Proven experience in analyzing energy consumption data and developing efficiency strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems, industrial processes, and energy-efficient technologies.
• Familiarity with energy management standards (e.g., ISO 50001) and auditing protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, adapted for remote interactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in relevant software for energy modeling and analysis.
• Understanding of South African energy market dynamics and regulations is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed energy audits and assessments for a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients.
• Analyze energy usage data to identify inefficiencies and potential cost-saving measures.
• Develop comprehensive energy efficiency strategies and implementation plans tailored to client needs.
• Recommend appropriate technologies and operational changes to improve energy performance.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and projected savings.
• Present findings and proposals to clients via virtual meetings and presentations.
• Assist clients in implementing energy efficiency measures and monitoring their effectiveness.
• Stay current with emerging energy efficiency technologies, policies, and best practices in South Africa.
• Collaborate with internal technical experts and external stakeholders as needed.
• Track and report on energy savings achieved by implemented solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and advice to clients on energy management best practices.
• Ensure all recommendations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
