The role requires 6+ years in data science within energy or large-scale data, strong Python/R skills, and experience with Spark, Hadoop, and SQL. This is a fully remote position offering flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years experience as a Data Scientist in energy or large-scale data.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pandas).
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and SQL databases.
• Strong statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and time-series analysis.
• Excellent remote communication and ability to translate insights into business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement statistical models and ML algorithms to analyze energy consumption patterns and predict demand.
• Process and clean large datasets from smart meters, sensors, and market data.
• Identify trends, correlations, and anomalies to uncover optimization opportunities.
• Design and build data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data-driven solutions.
• Stay updated on DS advancements and energy applications.
