Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Remote Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our innovative team. This fully remote role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and documenting electrical systems for complex projects, ensuring performance and regulatory compliance.

You will work with global teams to develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, applying strong CAD skills and electrical principles. A self-driven engineer who thrives virtually will excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and engineering.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution, control systems, and component integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical system designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
• Select appropriate electrical components, hardware, and software based on project requirements.
• Perform calculations for power distribution, load balancing, and fault analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Create and manage design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams through virtual communication tools.
