Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Electrical Systems Design Specialist to join a global engineering division. You will lead the design and development of complex electrical systems for diverse applications, from concept through detailed design and documentation.

The role requires a Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, 10+ years in the field, and strong proficiency with ECAD tools and simulations. Remote-first with collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years in electrical systems design and development.
Expertise in analog and digital circuits, power electronics, and control systems.
Proficient with ECAD tools and simulation software like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink.
Strong EMC and signal integrity knowledge; embedded systems experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of complex electrical systems from concept to documentation.
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
Perform load analysis, protection sizing, signal integrity, and thermal management.
Select components considering performance, cost, availability, and reliability.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical teams across locations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company practices.
Troubleshoot design issues and provide lifecycle support.
Prepare design specs, test plans, and manufacturing support docs.
Stay updated on emerging electrical design technologies and propose solutions.
Communicate concepts, trade-offs, and progress via virtual meetings and reports.
